Security

In a decentralized world, the responsibility of every single participant is enormous. If you make a mistake, no bank or other centralized entity will be able to help you.

One of the most important things is to store your seed phrase in a safe way. No natural catastrophe (fire, water, etc.) should be able to destroy your hard copy. To reduce the risk of theft, you can store your seed phrase in a safe or even store different parts in multiple locations.

Hardware wallets are another safety layer. They keep private keys isolated and require confirmation on the device before a transaction is signed.

Most importantly: never share your seed phrase with anyone, and never type it into a website. Only use it to recover into trusted wallet software or a trusted hardware wallet. If someone asks for it, it's always a scam.
